A couple of weeks ago I posted that my car alarm was going off WHILE DRIVING my 94 Mark. It had been averaging about 2-5 degrees for the week here in upstate N.Y. Turns out it was the alternator. I believe my old replacement had been a Bosch. I checked my records and it was only 5 years old. Anyways my buddy who is a mechanic installed a new one with a lifetime warranty from Autozone ($329 list), $169 his cost. Thought this might help someone in the future if they encounter this bizarre situation too.
