That doesn't scream safety to me, or to your neighbors. Believe me, I like to have fun in my car, I'm just saying - if one of my neighbors was doing that on my street, I would not be very happy, especially if I had kids to worry about. thethirdeye88 March 4th, 2008, 08:04 PM no one was outside, nor were there any vehicles on the street....it got a bit squirrelly but i did not cook them that long...plus this is my street...no, i do not own the street...but the way the gears are it wont burn them that long while power braking...it hooks up rather quickly... thethirdeye88 March 4th, 2008, 08:06 PM i understand your concern for safety and children...and on a residential street is reckless...but there was no one out nor did you see me get crazy with it... I love the BS excuses people offer for this type of behavior. Makes for a good chuckle. Look, you're not being a good neighbor by frying the tires and generating large plumes of smoke in the street. What if some little kid wandered out into the street while you were roasting the hides? Do you really want a death on your hands? You got lucky this time, but what about the next time? thethirdeye88 March 8th, 2008, 06:12 PM god damn, if he wants to burn out or street race let him and stfu. if he kills one of his neighbors its his own damn fault. everytime someone makes a thread like this you always get the one person who yacks about killing some innocent bystander. everyone knows street racing is illegal everyone knows showing off in a residential neighborhood is dangerous everyone knows going high rates of speed is dangerous and illegal we dont need to be constantly reminded of it. he was obviously using some judgement, maybe not all, but more than a lot of other retards out there. yeah, i know...i understand your concern...that would be a horrible thing to happen, not saying that it is not a possibility...but i live right in the middle of tweeker-ville arkansas....and if that happened, it would be my problem...and I would have to deal with it... Do you really want a death on your hands? You got lucky this time, but what about the next time? What if some kid wanders out onto any road in front of your car while you are obaying all the laws and you still hit him? Wait I have a better one, what if one of you do-it-yourselfers don't tighten down the lug nuts on one wheel good enough and a wheel falls of causing you to swerve off the road and kill a woman walking with her kid on the sidewalk? Someone could than say you should have taken your car to a mechanic. skizot722 March 9th, 2008, 10:17 AM What if some kid wanders out onto any road in front of your car while you are obaying all the laws and you still hit him? If you can't distinguish between the two scenarios you've described, and the behavior depicted in the video, then I don't know what to tell you. 02LSE96LSC91SE84TC March 9th, 2008, 06:20 PM Find a open parking lot. Hey man, I see you're from the Jonesboro area, I'm over in Conway. Good to see another from AR. Nice burnout. Did you shoot that vid on the fourth, the day it was posted? Is so, very small chance of hitting anyone, that day was pretty crummy here, loads of rain and a little snow; at least it was in Conway dont know about Jonesboro. Not too many kids would be playing in that mess, epecially at dusk. I know it doesn't look like it snowed, but trust me it did. But by 1pm it was all melted away. I took some pics of my car in the snow, thought about posting but am too cheap to pay to be able to send myself pics from the phone. thethirdeye88 March 12th, 2008, 05:29 PM yeah, it was...it was nasty...nice hunter quote by the way... | ||||
