hey, I was looking through a catalog on newfordparts.com and came to this picture

Is part number 8 the enclosure for the subwoofer? My car didn't come with the upgraded audio system, so I'm not sure if its (but my guess would be yes). Also, does it just bolt on?

I am in the process of making a stealth install, and I was first looking into fabricating my own version of this. However, it may be worth while modifying this part if that is what this is.

Does anyone have this that they aren't using and are willing to part with on the cheap? I am on a very tight budget, and would appreciate it if someone would be willing to help me out.

-8- is where your amp is in place for the back (2) 6x9 (2ohm) speakers. IIRC on my car that is how it is set up. my 02

IIRC, the 2 6x9s out back are mounted into the metal rear package shelf. Been a year since I was back there when I installed my amp and line out converter, so I may be off.

i think that was for the alpine audiophile system option...i dont have that...
