Had problems with the stock low beams, bought a conversion kit from e-bay, this set is junk too, it has bad ballasts, and I can't find anyone to help me. Of course, the guy I bought them from no longer sells on e-bay, and I have only had them for 2 months. Does anyone know where I can get a no problems set of bulbs and/or ballasts? The ballasts I need are # 421-10112004 type D25. I am running around with one headlight again, and am at wits end. Please help!! Best car I ever had, but this light deal is bumming me out.

Are you sure the ballasts are bad? The digital ballasts can be touchy sometimes.

Since it is for the low beam, why dont you buy a stock 9500 used bulb from
someone on e-bay. There is no legal conversion for the low beams. Or, you could convert them with the factory converted replacments.

I thought that new parts would be better than a used bulb. My mistake.

I'm sensing a little bit of sarcasm there. New bulbs would be better for the simple fact that they're new, plus they're readily available and cheaper. With the used bulb, you don't have to worry about converting anything but you also run the risk of the bulb not working or either one of the bulbs burning out within a short period of time. If I were you, I'd purse the converting to the new. Unfortunately, it sounds like you bought a junk kit.

Yes, I think I bought a junk kit or one that had some bad parts in it. One of the ballasts wouldn't work at 9 degrees or below, and the other one made the light "quiver" before it went completely out.. I spent enough money for it, but the seller is no longer doing business. I hope I have solved my problem by having someone else that sells the same kit send me 2 new ballasts. Sorry for the note of sarcasm, but I am still curious about how the ballasts are touchy as you stated.

It's been noted that some of the cheaper kits have issues with the bulbs striking on the first time, they're known to have one light that will light but the other not light. It takes a cycle or two of the headlight switch to get both bulbs to strike. A loose electrical connection could cause this issue if it were not providing proper voltage to the ballast.

They can be a little touchy, after all, they're afternarket. There has been a lot of discussion on the forum about the quality of the HID ebay kits. The prices have gotten cheap enough anymore that you can easily pick up replacements every couple of years and still not be spending much money. Although, you get what you pay for.
