I was at Meijer tonight with my finance buying groceries and came across this beauty(?), Thoughts? Comments? vomiting? Just thought I'd share with you.

Sorry for the poor quality, its from my cell.

Fender vents don't go with the lines of the car, thats why no one likes them. Maybe if the LS was designed with them they might look more appropriate than a faux sticker vent.

yea, i bought the oval ones for like 20 bucks at auto zone thinking they'd look good, i test fit them on about 20 different angles and places.. they look decent on a 45 but better not there at all...

Thats funny, I didnt even think to look at the time. However, it would be ironic if it was a V8 with those 6 vents.

stick on anything (be it hood scoops, fender vents... whatever) look like exactly what they are... cheap rip-off substitutes for the real thing. If you can't afford to have a scoop hood installed or holes and trim for your fender... don't do it.

Plus, fender vents look like crap on almost all cars anyway.

Most people make the mistake of buying the 3 hole vents for v8's and 4 hole vents for the v6. Its like putting a potato in your muffler. It will cause the clock spring to jump time. Then your screwed.

Basic rule. One vent hole for each cylinder. Learn it. Know it. Live it.:D

BTW The round vents will give you 30 horsepower more. The square is only 20 horsepwer gain. Round allows the air to flow better.:D

I still think adding the carriage top and Pep boys "quad" wiper blades will complete the "look".

Now if only I had the money for a Luois Vitton interior "treatment". Would that look better than this terrible ole leather:

how much HP u guys think i would get out a NOS sticker ??? =D

PatrickSimmons
February 25th, 2008, 12:59 PM
NOS stickers are 25 hp as long as you're not granny shifting, lol.

I was thinking of adding a sunroof sticker for my trunk and put on in the back for the backseat passengers. I think I may be at 400hp when I'm done. I was going to take off my rims and get me some spinner hubcaps but I figured I may go faster than the speed of light and I don't need any more tickets.

A yellow "NOS" sticker is additional 10hp over the regular "NOS" sticker.

Large wings are additional horsepower. For every inch above the rear deck. Its and additional 15 horses.

Not fond of the uptown lowered wagon wheel look either.

I agree about the windshield banner. BUT can you say "sponsor"? Thats right. FREE TIRES!!!!! Only thing I had to do was put a stupid decal on the car. I didn't want a decal on my paint. SO, Dunlop and I settled on a windshield banner.:D

Sorry... But that is ugly. You're right though... This is "what people using now". The thing is, when these same vent holes are on Civics, 300C's, Magnums, F150's, VW Bugs (yes, I've seen this), and other vehicles that are not Buicks, it looks like every one of those people shop at Autozone/local parts store in the "crappy modification" section.

Don't get me wrong though, some mods look great for the LS. But fake vent holes and spoilers that serve no purpose, make the LS look very "affordable". :shifty:
