My mark lost drive and overdrive recently so I did some research into the problem and what I read was that the solenoids get dirty and screwed up. So far I replaced ALL the solenoids in the tranny (parts direct from ford) and I still have the problem. Is there anything else that would cause this?

MLPS/Neutral Safety switch might have gone bad.

Yes, your OWC (One-Way-Clutch) is fried. Rebuild time I'm sorry to say.
Have you recently changed the tranny fluid or do you have a tendency to do a lot of 4-2 manual downshifts or manual 1-2 upshifts?

I did change the fluid when i changed the solenoids and I dont really do alot of manual shifting on it. Oh yeah and when I lost the gears it was instantaneous. Wouldnt a burned out clutch slip before it goes.

Replaced the MLPS/Neutral Safety switch and no change. I guess I'll get a decent rebuild then.
