camthman February 16th, 2008, 01:02 PM ok so last night me and a buddy did stoptech lines all the way around the car, brakes all the way around, and lastly put my eibachs on. I ordered the 1.1 and 1 inch drop however, They drop looks like ALOT more than that. I also installed these last night so they STILL haven't settled yet. Maybe Im just trippin out. Take a look!

AngelEyesAdrift February 16th, 2008, 01:04 PM either way it looks good to me... i just hope you don't bottow out haha...
camthman February 16th, 2008, 01:06 PM ya... but I really didnt want to go too low.... I dont know.
NYC LS8 February 16th, 2008, 01:10 PM Looks lower than my car, that's for damn sure lol
Looks good though!!
camthman February 16th, 2008, 01:18 PM Looks lower than my car, that's for damn sure lol
Looks good though!!
damnit..... I was waiting for you to chime in.... what do you think I should do? I like it, but the whole Idea with the 1 and 1.1 was that I could keep good alignment, I wouldnt scrape, it wouldnt look TOO gangster... I dont know

rickztahone February 16th, 2008, 01:25 PM looks good to me. if you don't want them i'll buy them, :D
NYC LS8 February 16th, 2008, 01:25 PM You could always try and turn the springs a bit, that might help? I know that my passenger side front corner sits lower than the driver's side and THINK that we didn't index the springs the same way.
camthman February 16th, 2008, 01:26 PM hahah... well my wheels are coming next week. Ill put them on, get an alignment, and go from there. I LOVE how it looks, just dont know if I want to deal with the consequences.
NateRW21 February 16th, 2008, 01:27 PM I was going to say the rear looks like it's pretty low... but... upon closer inspection of the pictures and looking at my car, I think you might be sitting about the same as I do.
The shop SHOULD be able to align your car without any modifications; mine ended up being maxed out on adjustment to bring it to good specs... the shop was prepaired however to modify my suspension arm mounts so they could pull me into spec...
SO, if you take it in and they tell you that with the adjustments maxed out you're still pretty far off... I'd be concerned you've got the wrong kit. Otherwise you should be okay (as I recall, anything other than the eibach kit and you can't get the car to spec the way the mounts are from the factory).

Yeah.... we indexed the HELL out of everything. whiteout everywhere. lol. EVERYTHING went in the same way it come out.

ok cool. Like I said, wheels are comin in next week so...
NYC LS8 February 16th, 2008, 01:29 PM Yeah.... we indexed the HELL out of everything. whiteout everywhere. lol. EVERYTHING went in the same way it come out.
Well, then it could be that the body kit makes it look a lot lower than it is..?
I'd say drive it around, see how it rides and if it's too low, cut a coil or two off the stockers to make it sit a little higher...?
ElLoco February 16th, 2008, 01:32 PM it looks sweet man if u dont like em just sell and ship em to me in MiA
gt95coupe February 16th, 2008, 02:47 PM It looks really good. Enjoy speed bumps, potholes ramped entryways not going to car washes and being a PITA to change your own oil. LOL just kidding enjoy carving those corners with no body roll! looking forward to see those wheels...
02V8Sport February 16th, 2008, 02:58 PM tight!
Z'sLS February 16th, 2008, 03:08 PM What does index the springs mean and how do you do it?
midi_junkie February 16th, 2008, 03:29 PM dayum sun!! looks tight! it is low tho..
King03LS8 February 16th, 2008, 04:33 PM To me it looks a little too low for the stock 17's. Are you planning on bigger rims?
jdbwood February 16th, 2008, 04:59 PM be careful for speed bumps n stepp driveways. i go stuck a couple times
lseguy February 16th, 2008, 06:01 PM looks a little low, but the wheelwell gap looks just right for those springs.
Im thinking its looking low due to the visual of the kit you have on
uknowmehfo February 16th, 2008, 07:39 PM it is the right height.... without the side's and rear and front lip it would sit up alot higher...
camthman February 16th, 2008, 09:15 PM Thanks guys... OZ Ultralagerra are the way way... (17 lbs each :)) We'll see how it turns out!
camthman February 16th, 2008, 09:16 PM Oh and by the way.... wheels are for sale! :) with brand new tires (1500 miles)
MMAFIGHTER121 February 16th, 2008, 10:27 PM i still wish there was a kit that made the wheelgap more even in front/back..
gt95coupe February 16th, 2008, 10:47 PM i still wish there was a kit that made the wheelgap more even in front/back..
It has to do with how th wheel well is "cut" in to the body of the car. I had a 95 mustang that I lowered alittle over 2in and everybody swore it sat lower in the back but if you measure right behind the front wheel and right infront of the rear it will be more accurate.
camthman February 17th, 2008, 03:39 AM http://www.preauto.sk/images/oz_ultraleggera.jpg
These are the ones coming in the mail. :)
LEOV5 February 17th, 2008, 08:31 AM It looks really good. Enjoy speed bumps, potholes ramped entryways not going to car washes and being a PITA to change your own oil. LOL just kidding enjoy carving those corners with no body roll! looking forward to see those wheels...
Ditto what gt95 says. And welcome to the lowered crowd!!!
KD00LS February 17th, 2008, 02:07 PM It might be the body kit that makes it look so low. Either way, it looks good.
camthman February 17th, 2008, 03:15 PM I think its probably the offset of the wheels as well. The rear look a little too tucked in.
SuperFlea February 17th, 2008, 08:28 PM More pictures please! :)
Really, that's beautiful!
camthman February 17th, 2008, 10:49 PM yup, ill get you guys some more pics in a sec.

KD00LS February 18th, 2008, 02:09 AM Very nice.
GrayGhost1 February 18th, 2008, 08:16 AM Eibach says that some cars will be lower than others depending on many factors. Yours probably dropped like 1.25" instead of 1" like they mention. Did you do a measurement before you did the drop? When I added the Eibach's to my LS the guy that put them on measured the before and after affects. Mine measured a little over 1" in front and back. After driving the car for about a week and letting everything settle it dropped another .1" all the way around.
glanga February 18th, 2008, 08:19 AM I think it looks nice. Are the calipers painted too? If not paint them black or something.
camthman February 18th, 2008, 09:53 AM I think it looks nice. Are the calipers painted too? If not paint them black or something.
Ya... just didnt have time to paint them. Car was on the lift for 4 hours..... :(
camthman March 3rd, 2008, 04:17 PM Ok so... Just got my wheels installed and got aligned. he said this is the best he can do... he said I need a camber kit. I know there is alot of tension on this subject. let me know what you guys think. By the way, i still think they gave me the wrong springs... lol.

NateRW21 March 3rd, 2008, 05:12 PM They should have been able to get you into spec without any kits...
The kit that is sold is for the rear only. What kind of shop did you take it to? If they can't make it work, a good shop will be able to modify the mounts to give more adjustment.
camthman March 3rd, 2008, 05:14 PM It was just a wheel and tire shop. They said they could do a camber kit front and rear installed for 180.00.
NYC LS8 March 3rd, 2008, 05:17 PM I got the cam bolts from RockAuto for the front. About 30 bucks or so each side.
NYC LS8 March 3rd, 2008, 05:17 PM Oh yeah, pics of the new wheels, stat! :D
HyeLifeLS March 4th, 2008, 03:00 AM Oh yeah, pics of the new wheels, stat! :D
+1 on STAT!
lseguy March 4th, 2008, 02:38 PM My local Ford dealership installed my Eibachs (along with new, fresh replacement Sport package shocks all around) and aligned the car to within spec on my car. I do rotate the tires at 5k miles (front to back/same side). currently have 25k miles on these tires since the drop, and no unusual wear at all. 18 inch wheels/tires.
thethirdeye88 March 4th, 2008, 03:01 PM they only make the one kit...just be careful while driving...watch out for all kinds of bumps, dips and inclines...they car is alot lower than you think...now you just need the EURO shocks...
camthman March 4th, 2008, 05:49 PM they only make the one kit...just be careful while driving...watch out for all kinds of bumps, dips and inclines...they car is alot lower than you think...now you just need the EURO shocks...
First off, trust me when I say I have had probably more lowered cars than most.... :). Secondly I dont think the make Euros for my car.
NYC LS8 March 4th, 2008, 05:50 PM Oh yeah, pics of the new wheels, stat! :D

camthman March 4th, 2008, 05:51 PM +1 on STAT!

Since own a detailing place, its kinda hard to do it on your free time..... By the way, I think Im going to start selling a wax kit on LVC if anyone is interested. :)
thethirdeye88 March 4th, 2008, 07:54 PM First off, trust me when I say I have had probably more lowered cars than most.... :). Secondly I dont think the make Euros for my car.
there are the standard, sport and euro shocks that are all OEM...i just ordered the EURO's from lskoncepts.com...i'm waiting for them to come in...the euro's are supposed to be more stiff and i will sacrifice ride quality for cornering ability...

I understand, I'm saying they don't make them for 03 and up.
