I'm thinking about trading my LS in for MKZ or Zephyr. is it as comfortable to drive as the LS, how about gas mileage(I drive alot and tired giving my money to the gas companies etc.
What kind of problems have you been having with it???......I still love the LS but it may be time to move on, but I would like to know what I'm getting into.
Thanks

My wife and I leased a Zephyr for two years and I own an LS. Overall a good reliable vehicle. However, it is not a rear wheel drive V8 at all. It is a front wheel drive V6 and acts like one. I'm sure the all-wheel drive MKZ with more horsepower was a great improvement. But they are totally different cars. They are comfortable, we saw about 21 mpg mixed on 87 octane and had a little problem with the Nav system which was replaced under warranty and a little buzz coming from a needle coming loose somewhere in the dash, also under warranty. We put almost 40,000 miles on it.
The best answer to your question would be to drive one yourself and see if it is what you are looking for. And if I were you I would wait and see the 09 MKS before I made my final decision. That is a really sharp looking sedan. The starting price is not that shabby either...

Thanks.......at first I did not like the looks ...but it grew on me....I put a lot of miles on and the better gas mileage is a good thing.

The wife and I test drove a AWD MKZ. I was impressed with it. The interior was very roomy. I actually felt it had more room then the LS. The trunk is definitely bigger. The 3.5 v6 is 265 horsepower. I would definitely go with the AWD version. 18 city and 28 highway if I remember currectly.
