Only thing worse is speeding....but thats a revenue thing! Joeychgo April 9th, 2004, 02:41 AM Dui is a mixture of revune and criminal here. i.e. A friend got her first and only DUI 2 years ago... She lost her liscense for 6 months; (she refused to blow) Court costs and fines were about $1500 Attorney another $1500 Had to attend couseling for alcohol abuse for 15 weeks - another $1500 Had to go to MADD meeting - $100 Has to have SR-22 insurance for a year- basically her insurance cost doubled.
