I was wondering if anyone could tell me when the mark cars started getting independent rear suspensions like this one

i dont mean having independent air bags for each side, i mean actual live axle systems. did they start with the 93 mark VIII or was it before that with the VII?

The Thunderbird and Cougar also use the exact same suspension components of the Mark VIII since 1989. Except for the mn12 chassied cars had cast iron rear housings vs the Mark VIII (fn10 chassis) which utilized aluminum. The Supercoupes also had beffier axels.

Hey guys! I'm in the Super Coupe Club of America and we have a member running 10.80's on that setup. It's damn strong.
