i have 18" chrome Saleen Speedstars...

im blacking out my chrome trim around the front and rear lights... and painting my custom grill black also...and i do not have the chrome molding ...so the only chrome on the car will be around the windows

so i was wondering .. ive seen black chrome wheels online.. and they look bada$$....

what is black chrome??.. is it chrome with a black clearcoat??..

and is there anyway i could change my current wheels to black chrome??

Try that. I know what you mean. New Acura TL Type-S trim is black chrome. I'm sure there are professional paints to do it if you check at a place that does powdercoating or something.

black chrome is a chrome part, with a transluscent layer of black over it, like candy paints, candies are tinted clearcoats basically, so to get black chrome you take something like a chrome wheel, or chrome valve cover, and spray transluscent black over it, or have it powdercoated with trans black, same thing applies in powder coating, first a chrome base is applied and baked, then once cured, a second stage is applied using transluscent black, when all said and done, you end with a reflective black chrome.

If you guys and gals are looking for something really slick, look at the chrome paint offered by "Innate". (same vendor as above) Now there is a way to refinish the inside of the 93-96 headlights!
