Quiet Exhaust

I know.. I know.. Your asking "Why a quieter exhaust?"
I've installed a KKM filter in my LS, so now I have much more air coming in, but the same amount of air going out.. It's like eating all day and only crappin once a week.. Things seem to get backed up (If you know what I mean) So I'm looking for an exhaust system (like magnaflow, bassani, etc.) that will increase outflow but not let me be heard a half mile down the road or set off car alarms.. I just wants something that is QUIET... Not whisper ofcourse, but not something that is like a hot rod..

Any suggestions? I got about $1000 to spend so why not a new exhaust :wrench

With a $1,000 you should be able to get a Borla exhaust system.

What's the advantage of a Borla exhaust system over the one that comes stock on the LS?....I have a 2003 LS V-8....thanks...

I thought (from what I've read around the LVC) is that adding a cat-back borla, magnaflow, etc. would increase somewhere around 10-15 HP... But 5?? That's nothing.. Doesn't seem right to pay $500-$1000 for something that only increases HP by 4-6 HP..

It is 10-15 on the 00-02's. The '03 and on have a revised, better flowing exhaust.

The Borla system is a good exhaust but look at the Magnaflow. It's much cheaper and has a better sound IMHO. You'll get the same HP gain either one.
