V-8 2000

I broke the nut off for the battery cable junction behind the fender well cover on the front passenger side fire wall. I'm not sure what the part number is but the dealer is telling me that to repair the junction they must replace the whole cable from the battery to that junction. They said they do not make the separate part any more for that junction.
I'm not sure if the dealer is pulling a fast one on me, but any information would be greatly appreciated.
