i have a 2005 lincoln ls sport and my car oil life is around 36% when should i really need to get a oil change....like a what percentage should i wait to????

Mine's at like 14% now. I don't generally go by that though. I usually do it every 5k since I use Mobil 1.

i'm sure it won't hurt the car going beyond 0%. but i would guess for the car to reach optimum performance, its best to change it prior to 0%. i know this is apples to oranges but my buddy used to have a 02 or somethin (last year they made it) prelude and those cars are greatly affected by old nasty oil. just my .o2
