I was at work today (Bill Hood Ford) and i decided to look up a new hood for my 98 mark....would you believe it was $2,386.52!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek: :eek: :eek:

Thats a load of money for a hood!!!! Now i know why people are scared to start grindin on their hood for a scoop or something.

900 for a 1st gen ;)

according to TEAM FORD site... gen 1 = $671....gen 2 = $1766

well it was a new hood from the factory..at least thats what the guy told me...we know each other well and have even opened em up on the interstate..he has a ram 1500 chipped k&n cone,exaust and some other kinda mods...he wooped me :( but all i have is exaust I hung with him till bout 100 tho then he walked me out to 125..anyways, its still expensive

yup, i was pissed when some dumb ass salesman at my job (manning ford) backed over the right front corner of the car and folded the hood, i had to have it repaired cuz replacing it would of "totaled" the car and ins company said too new to buy back, buts ok i know a "few people" in the biz and its (almost) flawless, i know what to look for

Those hoods are the price of some of these cars ,wow i want to sell my hood and buy another mark and i might have money left over to buy a cobra hood.What was the price of a tune up was it like $600+ i thought i heard that.Boneyards and trading times is way better on price then i would do some cowl hood fabbing

That's why I have a spare.... Just need to have it painted to match... Hopefully that's cheaper...
