I have a 2000 Lincoln LS and like most early model LS owners I can't stand the little orange piece that covers the turn signal so does anybody have any advice on how to split my headlights open so I can take out the orange piece. Thanks

Search for "Angel Eye install" or something along those lines, should show up.

As a 2000 it should have the grey glue. If so then you are able to heat up the headlights, split them open, and remove/replace the orange part. Many have done this on here and it shouldn't be hard to find some help.

no 2000 have black sealant. I just took them to a shop and had them do it

some do some don't. the black sealant is more heat resistant and doesn't soften up enough to pull them apart. once you get in there, you can pop the orange lense off with a flat head screwdriver.

How do you know what color sealant you have? I have an 02 LS.

on top of the headlight, theres 3 tiny little spots that you can see some glue coming out, it will either be black or gray. i wish i had a pic to show you where to look.
