I just dropped off my car at the dealership. It went in for:
1-inline transmission filter leaking
2-charging system problems (battery goes dead after 3-4 weeks)
3-heater only blows hot air
4-driver's seat doesn't heat up properly
5-mount snow tires (that one might not count...)
I was going to tell them about a #6, too. Yesterday when I was driving down the freeway the "Service Parking Brake" warning came on. But when I turned the car off it reset itself.
I guess i should be thankful that I'll be able to get all of these items addressed in one trip but good lord! This is kind of ridiculous!

I've been in the shop twice a month now. When I first got the car though it went at least once a week.

Since I've owned my car, it's only gone in for a passenger side valve cover gasket, number 3 coil and plug.
Now I probably jinxed myself. :shifty:

A-pillar water leak, bad catalytic converter stemming from coils going bad 4 consecutive times, belt squeak for the second time, brake pads and rotors.
All in alphabetical order. I really wish I could go to a more competent Ford dealer but we get the work done for free.
Runs like a champ......for now.

But this is all those items in one trip! I've had it in another time for a different tranny problem. and I've only owned the car for 5 months. I predict aftermarket warranties are about to get more expensive so get 'em while they're cheap!

With an LS, I would expect that list to be twice as long. :D

hehe. yeah, the tech gave me 'a look' when I told him "the heater doesn't work. it only blows hot air". Then I explained to him that after 45 minutes in the car it's about 93 degrees.
I did wonder if maybe the setting had been changed from standard to metric. perhaps the car was trying to get up to 60 degrees C vs down to 60 degrees F? :D

Every year at a certain time the car wants about $800 of my money. I give and it runs till next year no problems. :)

well, I dropped it off on Thursday morning and it's not ready as of Friday night. I'm guessing that they're waiting for a part. But isn't it customary to call when the car isn't going to be ready when they said that it would (Friday evening)? They did give me a loaner Merc Milan so that helps. But I want my car back despite all of its problems.
The LS is like a supermodel with a propensity for self inflicted injuries. She's dead sexy and good at what she does but is in and out of rehab far too often.
