I want two cobra star emblems, and i know you guys know how to get them. lincoln motorsport has a link but dosent let you buy them. Can you still get them?

Last I knew they were out of them and not getting anymore. So unless something has changed, you will have to get a set used and good luck with that.

Since alot of people who purchased the Cobrastars want the ones facing the opposite direction would it be possible to do a pre-order to see how much interest is generated? If not enough interest is there then the money just be refunded back to the individuals?? I hope i'm explaining this right :D

I guess if you can't sell directly.. then i'll just have to wait for people to sell a set they don't use...:(

I peel off the foam adhesive that they come with and go with a 3M acrylic 2 sided adhesive that does not have foam. Depending on where you put them, you can bend them slightly if you have to match a contour (done at your own peril). I ut a towel around them and put them in a vise WITHOUT ANY CLAMP PRESSURE and just pull on them slighty.

Without the foam, they lay really flat and are virtually impossible to pull off unless you gouge the metal to get underneath them.

Any adhesive could be pulled off if you try/pry hard enough. Bolting on is the only way to solve that problem. Then you couldn't move them if you needed to without leaving a hole. I would like to believe that a majority of people out there assume these are factory type bolt-ons. I haven't heard of any one losing or getting theirs ripped off. I'd suggest maybe checking them monthly to make sure they are secure if you're worried.

I almost forgot............use a cleaner/dewaxer to assure the best surface adhesion. Sticking to a lot of dirt and old wax is never good in the long run.

I washed the area then I wiped it again with alcohol, they have been on for over year and I have had no problems.

Mine came with 3M automotive grade tape, just like the OEMs use. You wont get these off easily, unless you have 3M's release agent, or you put them on contaminated surface.

If you do a mirrored set will we be able to swap our backwards emblems or will we just have the coolest key fobs in the world?:D Either way is fine with me.

talked to geno already he said maybe 4 christmas. i think he'll do it he knows the demand 4 them, but his cost is pretty high.plus trunk emblems only fit gen 1 mark viii.

I have taken mine off for a while but when i had them on people would always ask about them, I can't wait to put them back on the car.
