Heater blows HOT air

This might be similar to the thread about the heater that blows cold air. Not sure. But I did see that at least one other person, Sn8kbordin, had a similar issue as me.

My normal drive is about 20 minutes so I guess I've just never had the opportunity to test it out before. But yesterday I drove the car for 1.5 hours in a "Snow Storm Stop-n-Go Traffic O'Rama" (13 miles). Not fun especially since i don't have my snow tires yet.

Anyway, about 30 minutes into the trip it started to get uncomfortable hot in the car. i fugured that I was gonna be there for a while so I stripped off my heavy winter coat and settled in. Soon I was hot once again. I had the temp setting at 72 so I bumped it down to 65. I heard the fan speed pick up but when I held my hand over the vent it was still blowing hot air. Since I was only wearing jeans and a long sleeve shirt, 60 degrees should have been chilly, not uncomfortably warm. Is there a problem with my temp sensor or is it something else within the system? I'm hoping the answer isn't "roll the windows down" because I did that. And while it dropped the temp of the cabin it also let a lot of snow in....

hehe, I hear you Empire! That's why I didn't jump on the end of your thread since it doesn't appear to be settled yet. Good luck. Mine's going into the shop tomorrow for 3 other problems so maybe when I check in tomorrow morning I'll add this to the list. I'm starting to question whether I should have bought this car or not....

I had the same problem (air too hot all the time). It was the DCCV.

Thanks for the info! I'll mention it to the tech tomorrow when I check the car in for the other issues.
