ive been looking for a part that no one seems to be able to give me a price on
its the panel on top of the dashboard.. against the window that runs from side to side.. i dont know what its called but heres and illustration..its number 3... i need that in light grey.. i believe its called graphite

Your best bet is too find one in a junk/salvage yard. Try Car parts (www.car-parts.co), and you may not find it in your color, so you can use a interior die/paint to match the color.

I looked it up for the 96-98 and found only a black one...it includes the load sensor. List was $258.74 when it was discontinued in 04. It is called the Grille inst panel defroster outlet.

damn black.. would it be the same for the 96 as 97 since they are diff. body styles??.. if itll fit the 96 i might pick it up since my car is black it may not look so bad

Yes the 93-97 black is the same and they have 3 in stock. Your cost would be 194.25 plus ups from wisconsen to new jersey. I think just the color is different....93-98 all have interchanging colors and the same p/n's

thanx for the offer.. but if its going to be used i'd only go with the light graphite.. i think i might wait around til i find a new one in graphite too

They are all black, what they do is either paint them or die them to match the interior of the car. The one that I had originally in Barney was graphite, and after yanking it due to the fact that it was cracked, the underside was black and in the crack was black. So, they just simply paint or die them to match the interior of the car......get the one from Rich (mespock) and then simply find a die that closely matches your interior and you are set.
