Has anyone had the problem with a 2000LS V8, that when you run over small bumps it sounds like something up front, almost right behind the engine is knocking. It is a hollow/thud sound. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It's probably your front sway bar. Do a search of this forum and you'll find a mountain of info.

yup def could be your sway bar, check the end-link bushings.

I was gonna guess bushings too.
