Hay, wait, your right...im in the wrong forum...
Na, the thing of it is, mine was a turd, it was from day one. It didnt help that I was a total noob and didnt do anything properly. I put a lot of time and effort into my truck, and learned the value of doing things the right way, and actually doing things yourself, and I also realise that I had stumbled onto quite a unique platform that responds quite well to modification with the mk8. Basicly, its my way of having a "cobra" before I can afford the 20k for a real one. I want to get deep into the motor so I can get some first hand experience on it, and yea maybe make a few mistakes so when I do get a cobra in a couple of years there shouldnt be any need for me to worry about it.

btw. the bug avitar fooled me for a second lol. I actually tried to wipe it off.

Gen 2's are UGLY! Don't you think? The front end is just so "whale" looking. Just my oppinion.

Don't worry about the HID's as the bulbs are really not availible/affordable anymore. Just figure in $400 for new hallogen housings & go with an aftermarket HID set. The Gen 2 replacements are now halogen!!! It seems that Ford forgot about the Mark VIII owners!

wait, what? I knew they were hard to find, but now they are gone for good? dang. I guess that blows up my idea. I agree that the gen 2s dont look as sleek, but those colors (LSC only) look really nice imo. The gen 2s are also a bit more comfy. Either way, I want obd2 this time. It makes life 10x easier.

as far as i remember, the 93-96 lsc were the same in the gearing 327s, but the only differing factor was the 96 was obd2 and hid headlights. The 96 lsc is what id want most of all. The good styling of the gen 1 + the obd2 and hid lights. As far as the gearing is concerned Im more of a fan of the 308s over the 327s. Remember how I pulled on you on the highway? But who wants stock gearing anyways?

Well you can get a bad one as with any car... plus if you don't take care of them they will treat you just as bad. There can be a lot of work to do on Mark VII's to get them to where you want them. Think of the price you are getting them at and what can be done to them.. We have found a gold mine in my opinion....

Keep up your search... there is one out there... see you in chat tonight...

well i actually just got in the coils for the front tonight, ran out of light before i could finish the job. However it sits in the front, ill lower the rear to match.

Funny how the front coils held the front end up here ?

http://www.lincolnvscadillac.com/showthread.php?t=23624

As I recall you had posted that you had got a set of black seats and had changed out your tan seats.

You sure have a lot of Excuses,
Excuse 1 oh the coils they didn't hold the car . yet you posts don't show that to be true.
Excuse 2 the seat was always black? LSC?

Yet You never said why it took you almost a year?

Your record here Speaks for it self.

To Quote an LVC member "I feel sorry for any car you ever own"

Let Clear any Misrepresentation I sent you 2 coils springs that you end up using and selling you car with (never stating that the coils did work)
Then After 9+ months of me calling your mom and dads house (that is were you live right with mom and dad) and you work Costco Tire center and then Mommy found out form me that you had been a little boy crook.
Then You sent me the seat the you never put in your car.
btw BY THE TIME YOU GOTEN AROUND TO SENDING THAT CRAPY BLACK SEAT
FOR THE CAR I HAD SOLD BY THEN.

One thing for sure No users are stepping up stating How I burned them?
Then again I am not a Kid who Live with Mommy

856-234-140X call you again little boy.

Gen 1 LSC's were 95 1/2 & 96. They all should have had HID's, However Ford had the dealerships change many of them over to hallogens. As far as I know the only difference between the two is that the 96 is OBD2. I really think that the LSC package is way over rated! I went to look at a couple and was not very impressed considering how much more people think they are worth. The HID's are very nice but now you need to find a solution to the bulbs. I personally think the best things about the LSC are the gears & dual exhaust.

I completely agree as to how overpriced/rated the LSCs are, but its whats in demand so it sets its own price. The main reason I like the LSCs, aside from the hid's is the monocolor paint/trim. I never truely cared for the chrome.

Listen man, I really dont care if you have a gripe with me. If you have a problem with me, as you obviously do, then just dont talk to me. Theres no need to ruin threads with off topic discussion. If you want to debate this or vent on me, thats fine bro, I just ask that you do it either in here or in a diffrent thread.

Actually, you have my phone number, so If you please call me sometime and we can discuss this "in person" like adults.

Here is the main problem . WHEN YOU BURN SOMEONE you don't request not to ruin your threads .

Call you ? Wait are you saying I didn't call you almost every month, at the end calling you at your work (costco tire center) . At the Best You lied to get off the phone , or I just got your mother.
I sent you 2 springs that You used and sold your car with.
and after too many calls & pms after speaking with you mother & almost a year you sent me a black seat (don'T play? stupid! It was never going to be black) For my by then sold car with tan interior .

I got your Garbage , I had sold the Car, I WANTED YOU TO STILL SEND IT SO YOU COULD HOPEFULLY LEARN SOMETHING , not because I needed it anymore.

You get crap when you burn someone sounds like you should get used to it .
YOU TREAT OTHERS like you treat you car. You HAVE A LOT OF GROWING UP.

BE WARNED ANY DEALINGS WITH MRWILSON MOST LIKELY WILL GO SOUR !

Yeah I never liked the chrome either, Thats why I painted mine a blackish/gun metal color. I think that some of the LSC's look good monocolor & some don't. I do not like the lighter colors in the monocolor such as the pearl white or ivory pearl, they look way to plain IMO, I prefer the trim to be black instesd of chrome though! Now on the darker colors such as the black, gun metal or burgandy then it looks great.

Jersey's a state, not a city.

exactly... but i have to say that Jersey City up in North Jersey is a pretty dirty place.. haha

I myself am in South Jersey... where there are farms and green grass and less people.. which is good

in my opinion.. South Jersey should be its own state.. we are totally different people down here

other than a select few small cities and towns ( Camden, Newark, Jersey City) New Jersey is a great state..

i probably should have said.." I hope he's not giving Jersey an even worse rep.".. HAHA

geez Turborich " Mr.las vegas".. just because you live in the GREATEST CITY EVER!!!... no seriously .. you do...ive been there, done that,, and would go back in a heartbeat !!

lol, there are plenty of people that dont get the jughandle thing. Mostly pensey drivers.

Actually I drove a 97 today and I absolutely fell in love. I felt they were asking a bit too much for it so its still on the lot, but I know now that I want a gen 2 without a doubt. It is just so much more comfortable, not to mention the more reliable accumulators. So, the 96 I suppose is off the list.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=229736282&dealer_id=616758&car_year=1997&model=MARK8&num_records=25&systime=1194498486273&make2=&start_year=1997&keywordsfyc=&keywordsrep=&engine=&certified=&body_code=0&fuel=&awsp=false&search_type=both&distance=25&marketZipError=false&search_lang=en&make=LINC&color=&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&min_price=&drive=&default_sort=priceDESC&max_mileage=&style_flag=1&sort_type=priceDESC&address=08054&advanced=&end_year=2008&doors=&transmission=&max_price=&cardist=12

The updated 1-2 accumulator only comes standard on the 98's and possibly some late 97's. It's really easy to change so it shouldn't stop you from getting a 97.

i guess youre right.. i probably would get sick of it.. other than the strip there isnt much to see except that giant 100 foot thermometer i saw when driving from las vegas to tijuana Mexico.. which by the way is absolutely the grossest place on earth... i did like that it was 90 degrees in late october and i could look over and see snow capped mountains

I agree. Nothing worse than coming on and seeing the d1ckhead that ripped you off posting.

Ban him.

I got ripped off on here too, funny a New Jersey member also.

were you referring to the 97 on ebay or mine? If you were referring to mine, the price is very negotiable.

I was refering to the red colored LSC at the dealership. I'm not sure if this one is yours or not? Sorry if I offended anyone.

Well you are sounding more mature with your patience. Don't feel forced to take the the first thing that comes along. You know what problems to look for, and don't let Miles worry you..

Well, thank you. Id like to think iv mellowed out a bit. Im definately not going to jump into anything. Im just biding my time till I find a really nice example. I wish that black gen 1 with the cobra hood and the ram air in the bumper was still for sale, I cant remember whos it was, but I would have taken that in a heartbeat.

If your going to start banning people, you better ban buddylee as well, I have just as much right to gripe as he does.

A Co-worker of 94m5 purchased that Mark VIII of StraDog's and totaled it about a year ago...

Got over $5,000 from insurance. More than he paid for it.

StraDog...thats who it was. Thats a darn shame about the car. That was one beautiful mark, and worth more than the 5 imo, but such is life. Didnt stradog wind up with a v6 300c?

oh, a question I had also...when I was driving that red 97 I noticed it had a clunk over bumps at slow speed, coming from the front suspension. I remember having this clunk on my 95 as well. Is it all marks, or bad ball joints or something else?

Upper control arms most likely. Or inner/outer tie rods. Or lower control arms.

eeeaasssyyy... settle down with the jersey stuff again :p

You're just being statist !! ... or what ever you would call the state equivalent(sp?) of racist..

it's just a coincidence that they both happen to be from Jersey.. or the fact that there are 9,000,000 people jammed into this tiny state .. or 1,100 people per sq. mile
.. as opposed to Wisconsin which has 5,000,000 people or 100 per sq. mile..;)

besides.. there's a thread in "Anything goes".. where you can go to bash jersey people all you want :p

But mine was on a different level. Most of you may not know it, but I parted out and gave away(as in free) three Marks. Chad from new Jersey got one complete car, a few of you got parts from one other car, and Ray got most of the third car. I have had the Jersey boys call me on more than one occasion, and they always stuck to their word. I have also had dealings with BuddyLee, and I can tell you that he is a consummate professional. I believe that you guys that had issues with the "boyz from Joisey" will see that there is one thing in common. They were all Boyz. None of them were men. They were immature and their actions prove that. I was one who would always be quick to jump on Mr. Wilson for his regular stupidity. He seems to have matured, and I am sure that if he were willing to be a man about things and apologize to BuddyLee, (sincerely) then we could all move forward. Good luck with your search for a new Mark MrWilson. And how is the compressor holding up BuddyLee.(By the way, the Jerky was great. Everyone see BuddyLee if you need Jerky) "Can't we all just get along??"

Thank you. I had intended to appolagise, if I was given a chance; but since that doesnt seem likely, Ill say it here. I am sorry buddy, It was pritty dickish of me to keep them from you as long as I did. Them being black was just a miscommunication on both our parts though, as was the quality of the springs you sent me. Im still sorry you didnt get what you want, when you wanted it. Id rather man up and appolagise than perpetuate this any further. I am truely sorry buddy.

Where I am its a mix of rich proper white people, and the rest of us rednecks; but Iv never heard joisey south of trenton. Except at the shore, where those city slickers come and dump their garbage and leave.

bufordtpisser very well stated.. and thanks also for your parts...

I agree sometimes it's difficult for the youth to understand the proper ways of dealing with things in a more mature world. And In a cyber world like LvC you just can't cut and run if you intend to stick around.

I too was one to give Mr. Wilson a difficult time with many of his how can one say nicely but ridiculous posts. Only brentalan (another NJ member has defended his post. Mainly claiming that he learned what not to do and found them helpful).

But it does seem like he’s maturing and wanting our support.

Buddylee has been a longtime respected member. I’m sure Mr. Wilson can work this out with Buddylee, and I’m sure we can move on.

Ha, rediculous, and what not to do are understatements imo. You can call me George H Bush, when I say, read my lips, no new rediculous posts.
