Get your reading glasses and check out this link. There are many articles there, that will tell you everything that you need to know about your trans. Read them all, but you might want to start with the transmission 101 page.

Im still confused on how to re pin the wire. This is something I am looking at doing next spring. I would want a 99+ Mustang GT trans and a Mach 1 or Maurader TC. But the wiring has me a little sceptical about doing this myself.

So the trans swap is complete. All I did to the 98 trans for the 94 is re wire the harness. It seems to shift fine, but I read about switching the TCC solenoid and the speed sensor. Is that necessary for this particular swap?

I swapped in my 94 TCC into my 97 trans. I've heard that that was needed but, I've also heard that it wasn't, so I'm not sure now.

Did you use the MLPS from your 94 trans?

I used my 94 speed sensor too, but the 97 trans I used didn't have one installed (the PO needed it for his car).

Of course, I didn't have to change the wiring because that's not needed for the 97 trans.

Ya the MLPS on the 98 trans had a different plug but other then the repin thats all we did.
