SoonerLS October 23rd, 2007, 07:45 PM As I understand it, it's not the amp; the head unit is only sending the low frequencies back there. Those speakers are subwoofers, after all. blacked03ls October 23rd, 2007, 09:16 PM so there is nothing you can do to get the vocals out of them? In my new 6x9 there is a built in tweeter and they sounded pretty good at the store thats half the reason i got decent ones.. Eric0508 October 23rd, 2007, 09:21 PM do you have the stock head unit, or an after market one? SoonerLS October 23rd, 2007, 09:38 PM so there is nothing you can do to get the vocals out of them? You can replace the head unit. Short of that, nope; you can't extract something that's not there... DunItRight October 24th, 2007, 07:00 AM Its a sub, wouldnt the vocals sound way off anyway? blacked03ls October 24th, 2007, 11:36 AM You can replace the head unit. Short of that, nope; you can't extract something that's not there... oh well i have the factory nav w/ thx so i dont see myself buying a headunit. It just sucks i wish i could hear the vocals on those 6x9 it would improve clarity by a bunch im sure DunItRight October 24th, 2007, 11:47 AM I dont get it, if a sub is supposed to be for bass how the hell would it improve the higher tone in vocals? n8bachelor October 24th, 2007, 12:26 PM I dont get it, if a sub is supposed to be for bass how the hell would it improve the higher tone in vocals? He replaced the factory rear deck subs with Alpine Type R 6x9's. Those are coaxial speakers with a frequency response of 60Hz - 27kHz (full range speakers). SPY October 24th, 2007, 12:34 PM You would have to add an amp for the new 6x9's and use a line output converter to get a full range signal from another speaker. I have an amp and line output converter forsale if you decide to go that route. | ||||
