Interior Dye

Back in the day I could order interior dye from Ford (did this on my 95 MARK VIII when I added the cell phone option and replaced the pillar trim with the one with the speaker in it)- came in rattle cans - Can I still do this? I need some dye for a 2003 Expedition dash . A detailer used goof off to remove some glue and took the color off the darker area around the driver.

Thanks !

I would make him replace it....$2387.83 plus install!!!! I assume it is the medium parchment/espresso color. All they have is the paint for the interior...it is not dye anymore....in the day huh???? LOL anyway there is a spray can for the interior...you will have to do the whole thing.... in espresso p/n PM-19M547-2006H or the med parchment p/n PM-19M547-1077H. Your best bet is to take it to a interior shop to be repaired the correct way for this newer material used on the i/p's so it will stay and not fade over the years. besides..I cannot ship paint or spray cans. Good Luck!!

Thanks, I got a can from a Motorcraft distrubutor with the part number. I was able to prep and tape off just the Espresso part - perfect match. Took an hour to tape off and 15 min to spray. Thanks for the part number!

They still are fighting over the issue- Regional DSM is trying to get the detailer, the detailer is saying it is the Dealer's issue...blah blash blah. Once they sort it out I will just give them a bill for the $28.78 for the paint and tape.
