I just got an 05 ls v8 last night and I love it so far. I have a few questions regarding the options that were avaible for the car that mine does not have. It has a 6cd changer, does this mean it is the thx stereo or the auduipile. How can I tell if it is the thx system? If it is not can I get one and put it in, from a dealer, would it be worth the money? Also the car does not have navigation but is something I would like, can I buy the actual navi unit from lincoln and swap it right in with a new double din bezel. Is this an easy task and also worth the money? Las thing is that it does not have h.i.d. lights. I know this was and option from lincold, did the hid lights have a projector in them? also can I buy these and swap these in? Or would it be better to just buy an hid conversion kit off of the internet? Do you guys recommend any good sites to buy parts and accesries (sp?) from like for performance and interior things made for the car. Thanks very much for taking time to read and respond.

No the car unfortunatly never came with projector HID's.

If you had the THX system you'd have the navigation system. You have just the audiophile system. You can have the dealer install the navigation system but the cost would be astronomical. It would be cheaper just to buy an aftermarket navigation system and have it installed. We sell the double din bezels on our website if you ever decided to swap it out.

The 03+ LS's did come with optional HID headlights but they were NOT projector headlights. Cost on the OEM HID headlights is around $800 each. You'd be better off just getting an HID conversion kit unless you wanted to get the OEM headlights.

so they did not have projectors, how much does that affect them? Is the beam all scatered and not as nice? This is why people do retro fits right? The difference between my audio system and the thx, is the amount of speakers, the quality and the cross overs right? If I were to find a used navi system would it go right in with the dvd drive and double din bezel? Or would you recomend just getting an aftermarket one? Headlight bulbs, will they make a difference if I put some in? And what brand do you's like?

Replacing the standard bulbs with either HID or regular aftermarkets of the same type will make a serious difference. HIDs look better of course but I have yet to get myself a set. I will be soon but as far as the standards go I use the Nokya brand and I like them.
