Anyone here seen "Death Proof" the new crazy ass Quentin Tarantino car chase movie?

Mostly looks like a cheap 70's exploitation movie but the climactic car chase is totally believable even with the chick on the hood as the Challenger goes down the highway.
Actually adds something new to the gendre

The last 20 minutes of the movie are great!!!
Unfortunately, the first 100 minutes is a painful bore. 100 minutes of annoying women talking to each other.

But the last twenty minutes are great.

And since they are release both halves of GrindHouse separately, we instead of just 70 minutes of discomfort and a 20 minute finale, we get the full 100 needless minutes, and no faux movie trailers.

Save your money, just rent Vanish Point on DVD instead.

Quentin pays homage to Vanishing Point in the special features.
I skipped through the first 100 minutes to the last 20.
As I usually rent 3 movies it was worth it just for the chase.
These days I'll bail out on a rental movie pretty quick if it's mediocre and move on to the next one.

isn't this just like life.

Awesome car chase, movie made no sense, worth the rent.

And by the way the part with the pole, the funniest thing I have ever seen.

But the movie was senseless and boring. But hot chicks and fast cars are always good.
