viiiball December 7th, 2004, 11:29 PM My factory leather buckets are kinda worn, recovering them would be pricey and aftermarket is $$$$$. i found these in summit racing, i think they would be cool, i will lose power seats, but i hatdly use em anyway, my back seats are pretty excellent so they'll stay., at 219.00 a piece, i think they'll work what do you think? :Beer

ND4SPDLSC December 8th, 2004, 01:50 AM For the price of both seats, you can probably or almost get the front seats recovered one by one.

You will most likely not find them in the color to match the interior....you will prolly have to have them restitched to match.......there was a guy on LOD that had Recaro seats in his Mark....they looked nice, but the only downfall was that the electronic part of the factory seats are not available on the aftermarket ones....and he said that they could not get the factory electronics to mount on the Recaro seats....just something to keep in mind.....
Markviiiedrea December 8th, 2004, 03:06 PM those would actually fit into a mark very well. they would not look to aftermarket
Sifrino3 December 8th, 2004, 05:32 PM That is my problem. Losing the luxury! I just can't say yes to them Cobra seats. . .

My drives is torn and I am intrested in getting one that is not torn. Worn is better than torn.
How much will you let them go for?
grtVIII October 24th, 2005, 06:59 AM My drivers track is worn out where can you find replacement for it. It is getting dangerous because now if I get on it to hard the seat slides all the way back
GrayGhost1 October 24th, 2005, 07:45 AM Has anyone tried www.leatherseats.com ? I looked at getting a group buy thing going with them a while back.
MrWilson October 24th, 2005, 09:21 AM Id think youd have some pritty noticeable gaps btwn the door and the console, seeing how the mustang is much tighter (thinner) than the mark. atleast it feels like it when im in em.
PioneerCrazed October 24th, 2005, 11:01 AM Here should be a pic of some Recaro's installed, once cardomain get's back online.

Oh, how I wish that were my Mark. It's a guy named Bill Hamilton's, here's a qoute from him about it 2 years ago.
"I had Recaro Trend seats put in my Mark VIII four years ago. These were the same model being used in Saleen Mustangs a the time. Recaro doesn't make a kit for Mark VIII's so I found a place that builds race car chassis's locally and they removed the base from my stock seats and installed the Recaros on them. I still have the power controls but they had to build a box underneath the front out of sight. Since I'm usually the only driver it stays in the same position and it's not a problem. They matched up the saddle/tan color perfect to match the rest of my interior. It wasn't cheap....around $1500 or so total."
They definitley look nice!
