Well guys after finally detailing my car and hitting it with the ICE wax I managed to take some new pictures of my car. The next step will be to maybe add the LSE tails although I am not sure they will look good on my color car, thoughts?

IMHO thats the best grill $ can buy for the LS. I love that color I almost bought an 02 that was that color or very close to it. About the tails I like the clear/red look.

I have been thinking of getting that CAI. Can you tell me what honest difference you have experienced with it? Sound?

Ha, thats the thing....I paid nothing for the grille or to have it painted! The manager is a personal friend of mine at my local Lincoln body shop...what a deal! He could probably hook up the LSE tails as well, I am just not sold on them yet.....

Sound is night and day man. I love the sound and it really brings out the V8 extremely well especially over 4000 RPMS. I have noticed a power gain and the car is more responsive with throttle acceleration.

Its a good investment and it was extremely easy to install. I love it. So far I have had no engine codes or any problems.

Your car looks very nice and I'm sure it sounds great.
As an alternative to your setup
I cut down the stock airbox and used a larger blue colored K&N type filter I bought at autozone for 40.00.
Recently bought a second stock airbox on ebay for 45.00 and am going to cut off the sound deadening expansion chambers which are part of the intake elbow to see if it improves on the already sweet sound of the current setup.
If I need to take the car in for engine warranty work I can put the stock setup on and not risk being denied for modifying things.

My service advisor assured me that my intake would not void my warranty whatsoever even for engine work so I wouldn't worry about that....

That cone filter is nice man....I might look at getting one of those.

That looks great, nice color choice and those wheels are the best stock LS wheels.

Looks good.

Your left front looks a little low though. But that might be because the wheel is turned...

I have a similar filter setup on mine. Ive noticed that when it rains , even the slightest bit, the filter gets a little damp. Has anyone else had that happen or bothered to check? I'm thinking I might just have to make a shield to go over the top to try and divert some of the water.

That big blue filter is a universal one also available at pep boys.
They also have them in red and grey and maybe black.
If you want to use it you'll have to get a short piece of tubing maybe from the home depot plumbing dept to mate with your KKM.

The material its made of might seem alike but its really cheap and may hold moisture even if its just in the air.

King, I love Meguires products as well as Mothers but that ICE line of stuff is the shlt!

To my knowledge, those universal filters and other crappy ones like it from say APC and all have a series of reducers that can be removed to size from a small diameter to a larger one but that is a good idea.

Thanks, I checked it out, the pressure is fine, it was just the wheel being turned and the armoral tire glaze that I hit it with!

I don't have moisture problems on my intake at all....

Good choice on using the ICE...I love that stuff, easy, and effective.
As to the intake...I love the sound of my K&N FIPK. It sounds great, and gives a loud growl, when on it.
Does the sound of the KKM kind of come in 2 phases? The K&N starts loud, then seams to soften, until the engine comes on the cams...then its quite loud.
I prolly wont do mufflers, because I like the quiet sound when cruising, but I love the sound when you get on it!

Also, the LSE grill is the best. That was my first change, when I got the car. I did the LSE rear license trim, as well.
But I must dissagree with HyeLife...I like my earlier 5 spoke chrome wheels better.

KKM to me starts soft and then gets louder as the Rpms get higher and l love it, you can really tell if you are doing a fly-by next to someone.

I bought mine from LS Concepts prepainted for about 150.00.
As long as you have a stock color they have it.
Got it in about a week.

Probably the best stock (looking w/o big rims and custom color, ect..) LS I've ever seen. I f*in love that color and yes, those are definitely the BEST stock rims for the LS period....maybe best from any stock car??

Ordering the CAI today...haven't heard many cons...why not.
