A/C is blowing HOT on drivers side and ice COLD on passengers side. You can make adjustments with the air controls but it doesn't make a difference. Has anyone had this problem?

ck climate control valves behind glove compartment, they can be moved by hand for temp. fix till replaced

Manually adjusting the control valves behind the glove box! So HOW does one adjust the thingy? What does the thingy (valve adjustment) look like? Which way do you adjust the thingy (valve adjustment component)? This sounds like a quote out of a Chilton's Guide (installation is reversal of removal). I got the Glove box out and don't know where the valve adjustment is so I can make my air conditioner work in 100 degree weather. Thanks in advance for any schematics or images as well.
