Hi guys! Im changing my brake booster and have encountered a slight problem. My question: How do i get the adapters of the 2 wiper spindles off and release the central piece so i can get that plastic lower tray off? Do they unscrew or pry off? I have my booster loose and that lower plastic tray is the only thing stopping me. Reckon i could lose that lower tray all together? Doesnt seem to do much except trap water and crud. Thanks for any input!

Hey chicken! This is where im at: booster completely disconnected, both wiper arms are completely removed, washer jets disconnected, 2 plastic cowl pieces removed. Now, under that plastic cowl is another plastic shelf which the booster is right against so i cant get it out. I cant remove that plastic shelf cos the wiper spindles (stems) have adapters on them which the wiper arms attach to. Theres a central control too but shant worry about that just yet. I would take a pic but camera is busted. Now, these spindle adapters look like they might be a press on fit, but darned if i can make them budge! Lol. Im thinking maybe i need a small 2 arm puller? If you are still puzzled as to what im blabbering about, look at the base of your wiper arm. Thanks chicken!

Done! Amazing what a difference abit of daylight can make. Lol. I found out that the plastic assy. comes out complete with wiper linkages and motor attached. With that out the way and booster removed i was also able to disconnect the cruise pressure switch. Just gonna clean and lube everything and put the new booster in! :) BTW Chilton/Haynes manuals suck big time! Alldata sucks too!

I was just about to send the pic to ya and was trying to make the pic small enough for the upload, but you figured it out. Here is the pic anyway....

Lol. Typical. Thanks anyway Max. That diagram will still be useful for me or anyone else who may need to replace parts of the wiper assy, so its all good! :)
