replacing rear window motor for 89 towncarBADTWIN61 September 8th, 2007, 10:36 PM I have just purchased a 89 lincoln town car and the rear passanger motor does not work. can not hear the motor running when window switch is depressed is this a big job to change this motor ? Frat-man-du September 10th, 2007, 10:44 AM Window motors dont go bad all that often, it is most often the 3 nylon bushings in the gear that fail. Since you dont hear the motor - you would hear it spin if it was the beforementioned bushings -I would check the switch. Can you use the rear switch on that door? When you depress the switch do the interior lights dim (high amp draw)? If they do it prob is the motor - not a bad job to do. | ||||
