ok I know how it sounds.. But how many quarts of oil does the v8 hold. Forgive me....:(

Go to the top of the page to TECH ARTICALS; scroll down on the left side to Lincoln Tech - Lincoln LS find OWNERS MANUAL for your year or a year close to yours and down load.

This will be a wealth of information about your LS.

Also the SEARCH at the top of page will be of great help.

I think it's 6 liters for the V8 and 7 liters for the V6. V6 takes more.

That is why you need to read the owner’s manual for your year LS, 1st and 2nd generations V8 are different let alone the V6.
