I noticed one of the posts on my speaker grilles in the back... driver side... busted off... I was wondering if any of you guys know of a fix or way to make it not rattle... if not anyone got one for sale?...

I was wondering if any of you guys know of a fix or way to make it not rattle... if not anyone got one for sale?... mespock August 31st, 2007, 02:31 PM You are talking about the tweeter I'm guessing, as they often will break. what you can do is get a piece from a mounting bracket for a radio. bend it to fit the area you need and then epoxy it to the speaker. I like to use plumber's epoxy which works very well. Did this to my 95 about 3 years ago and she's still holding well. If you have the piece that broke you can use the plumber's epoxy to remount the tab. This stuff is great to use. You can get it at any hardware store. MatthewDavid August 31st, 2007, 04:45 PM Actually it's the post on the speaker grill in a 97' Mark Viii... it's the part that actually attaches to the interior wall... it must've broke off when I removed it one time... sux like that GMAN September 2nd, 2007, 01:23 PM The key to removing the rear speaker grilles is removing from the bottom first, then pulling down. The grilles are plentiful on Ebay and in the junk yard. | |||||
