How often is one supposed to change the air filter on a 99 Eldorado? I changed mine about 5000 miles ago, conditions are not too dusty.

Also, what about the cabin air filter? My Eldo has 68 k miles, I doubt the previous owners ever changed them...

As a rule of thumb, I change my air filter on all my cars, every other oil change. Makes it EZ for me to remember.:)

When it gets dirty. Don't waste money changing regardless of being dirty or not. Inspect it every so often and replace as needed.
