Can anyone give me a detailed procedure for replacing a rear wheel bearing on a 2001 Lincoln LS? I have a noise, almost sounds like a flat or low tire between 30 and 60 mph, comming from the left rear wheel. Any help woud be appreciated.

Ford sells the entire knuckle, not just the bearing alone ($600+). The bearing is pressed into the knuckle. I do have a 2004 LH rear knuckle that would work for you. It has a brand new bearing in it. Looking for $250 for it.

The knuckle only takes like MAYBE 6 bolts. However, you do need the big a$$ socket for the axle nut as well as a new axle nut b/c they are designed to be destroyed when you remove them. (and they are!)
