Well, we keep growing. And thats a good thing. Some of you have noticed times where the site can be a little sluggish. Well, I'm in the process of trying to fix that.
Today I have bought a new server for us. Im not sure when the transfer will happen yet, but it'll be in the next 2 weeks. I'll advice before that happens.
The plus side is that we are really upgrading the server big time. MUCH more powerful.
For you techies who are interested, here are some of the specs on the new server:
2x QUAD-core Processors: Dual 2.0Ghz Intel Xeon Clovertown quad-core Model E5335, socket 771, 1333mhz FSB, 4x 4M L2/CPU
Motherboard: Supermicro X7DBR-I Dual Socket 771 Intel 5000P (Blackford) Server Chipset
FB-DIMM RAM: 4096-Meg (4G) 128-bit Dual-Channel
DDRII-667 ECC Fully-Buffered DIMMs
2x 2G, 4x open DIMM slots, 24-Gig Max
Storage Devices: 2pcs Western Digital 150G Raptor, 10000rpm - WD7400ADFD, 24x7 Enterprise Class, 16-Meg Buffer
Hardware RAID Controller: 3Ware Escalade 8006-2LP RAID Controller
I'll advise more as we get specific dates for the transfer.
