so, my wife and i just bought a 2006 nissan quest special edition... she wanted it b/c of our growing family and the ls and passat weren't cuttin it when haulin groceries and trips to wherever... we have the vw passat 99 1.8t for sale $4200 117k if anyone is interested. we are keepin my ls simply b/c it is mine! the nissan aka "silver rocket" is really nice. it's spacious, and comfortable. the inside kind of reminds me of star trek or something like that. oh well, i just thought i'd let everyone know... :cool:

My boss has a quest and that thing is fast. I drove it few times. The interior is unexplainable (not in a good way). The gear ratios where kind of spread, it would go about 50-55 in first then almost 90mph in the second gear I don't know why though.

Damn the mini van.... feel for ya... Our Family get's smaller by two more this fall. But we'll have 4 in college...

Too bad Gas is so high Our family van was a Chevy 3/4 ton Conversion.. Got rid of that before my son could drive. Sure glad he never had the chance to try it out...

FoMoCo also had a one speed trans in the 500 and freestyle, CVT (constant velocity trans) its weird to drive them cuz you put it to the floor and the engine pulls about 6k, and you speed all the way up to whatever, i didnt like it i kept waiting for it to shift. but no more worries ford canceled the trans, but no real problems with it, maybe too good and ford wasn't selling enough parts :rolleyes:

hey my moms mini-van was pretty fast in terms of a mini-van. it's a 3.5 and and has 240 hp. of course the weight renders it pretty much a waste of an alright engine but still you can feel the pull. regardless, whenever i use the van and i have my daughter or niece i never drive wreckless. and the odyssey doesn't look that much of an egg-shaped type of mini-van.
