Anyone know of a good glue? The door leather at the top, by the window, became unglued. It has a foam padding so superglue is not going to work, the foam is too pores.

Also Gorilla Glue has been known to work pretty good but not sure how it will work on the foam. Might eat it up.... mhtease July 26th, 2007, 04:06 PM I had the same problem and I used clear silicone and put some weight on it. When it drys it holds like new. JMiles_T July 26th, 2007, 04:24 PM 3M Emblem & Trim Adhesive worked for me. You don't have to hold the parts together that long either. http://www.patmedia.net/schoolzone/Other/LvC/3mAdhesive.jpg GMAN July 26th, 2007, 05:12 PM That was happening with my 97, and any of those adhesives will work. It will work best however if you take the panel off and glue it out of the car. tda13 July 26th, 2007, 08:49 PM I used super glue on mine about a year ago and it still looks like new... I know... it surprised me as well. T Brozly July 29th, 2007, 08:55 PM I've had excellent results with spray tack... MERIJONS97LSC August 9th, 2007, 11:54 AM Thanks guys for your replies!..I tried different types of glue, They ether dried to fast or they required the glue to set up on both pieces, making it hard to slide in position. So I ended up using some glue I had for PVC pipe....It worked great, spreads on EZ and holds great!:D 1969350 August 11th, 2007, 08:34 PM Sorry for a late reply but........ Weldwood contact cement and some lighter fluid to clean up any excess. Work from the center and out to ends. Try not to stretch or you'll get wrinkles. My buddy owned an upholstery shop, we built custom van's back in the day ! | ||||
