I think you guys will find this funny.
Yesterday I brought my 97 Mark VIII lsc to a local car show. I opened the hood, but out some LVC flyers I made, a 97 mark VIII brochure and some literature that I copied off the internet. I spead it out in front of the engine.

This guy with his son about 15-16 years old were look at the cars, He came to where my car was. he stop at a 66 GTO that was next to me and started
pointing at the engine, teaching his son about the different components of the engine.
They came to the front of my mark, Then the guy said to his son "whats different about this engine?" The son said he didn't know and the father said "you have eyes use them!" and again the son said he didn't know. Then the father said "there are no spark plug wires or distibutor!" The kid said "maybe their hidden?" The father said "NO! IT'S A DIESEL!":slam So I went and opened the drivers side door (to let his know it was my car) The guy said
"Hi, Is this your car"? I said "yes it is". he said "what size diesel is in there?"
I said "this is not a diesel its a gas engine". He said "It dosen't have any wires or distibutor?" I said yes it does "THEIR HIDDEN",Then the son looked at me with the biggest smile, That kid must have thought "finally I got over on my old man!":D

No worries about parts and support. Go ahead and get one or bid on that one with confidence. Check out OldSchool1 on this site or visit; http://www.thelincolnmarkviiclub.org/ and look him up there. He has one and a great thread on rebuilding the engine and the trials and tribulations around it.

It's probably slower than hell though... that's the big downside I can see.

COP ignitions are relatively new, some old timers may not know about it so i'm not surprised.

Yea...115hp at 2000 rpm...I dont know, just a WAG, but most diesel's have their power way down low.
