not easily. the wiring is different - so you would have to re-wire. Then depending on your current system - you would have to bypass the DSP module and the rear amp.

I have been looking at the Pioneer Avic-Z1 or Z2. I know the newest model out is the Z2 but they don't have a bipass for it yet, so that is way I'm looking at the Z1 also. There is a great forum about the AVIC units called AVIC411.com check it out there is a lot of info about the units there. The sad part is I haven't even picked up my LS yet, I put a deposit down on it, but still about two week from being able to pick it up.

Not True. The newest Z2 models are being shipped with updated software that allows the Z1 mod to work on the Z2 units. The way to tell is the serial number is on a yellow sticker instead of white. If you get an old Z2 unit (white sticker) there will be a software upgrade disk available in a month. Please visit www.avic411.com for further info.;)

Well looks like I stand corrected, I guess I missed the Z2 bypass some were along the line, I'll have to look into that then because I would rather have the newer model.

As far as like my LS I can't wait. I fell in love with the car the first time I drove one in 2001 while I was contracted to Ford. Now that I can finally afford one I'm so geeked.
