my 99 deville is cranking but not starting and my display is saying car may not start back up and is not starting at all

i am having the same problem out of my 98 deville, it has to do with the pass key system, the little chip on your ingition key is probadly damaged, and that is causing the system to miss up, read some where there is a way to bypass the system but it is hard to do or something , and also read that you can spray some eletronic cleaner into your ingition and let dry, try that at your own risk, best thing to do is search internet for solution or take to a caddy dealer

have you done some tune-up, lately?

its yr key doing that,prob a falty key or chip,could be a bad tumbler,if that is the case you need to pull the tumbler and take to a qualified locksmith,he can program a key an tumbler to work.dont take it to a dealer,they will stick it in yr butt cost wise.
