Well, I for one would want to know why you would want to go wider in the rear?
Going wider and taller in the rear will negatively alter the handling of your ls and possibly cause issues with the stabilitrac and abs.

I mean the 255 is going to be .5 inches taller and that will alter its rotation compared to the 235 fronts. That can create issues down the line with speedo, cruise control, abs, tractioncontrol. stabilitrac and more.

Are you just doing this for appearance sake? I mean its not like going with the wider tire will cure some major tire spinning issues.

Differnt size tires on the front and back mean you can rotate and that means less tire life. I would just stick with the stock size but thats just me.

I wouldnt go with different sized tires from front to rear, but 255/45's are only 6mm shorter than the stock 235/50. Thats 3mm in ride ht.(about 1/8th inch).
I am leaning toward the 255/45's all the way around, and with the stock wheel offset, there will be no rubbing. While my LS was on jack stands, getting the eibach's installed, I made sure of the tire clearances from lock to lock.
