My car has every option except the Rescu system (f that anyway) and the Sunroof... and I've been really thinking about getting one installed. I just don't know if i should take it to a dealer and get an original put in for an arm and a leg, or take it to an after market shop and have them install one. I do definitely want a powered one though. I know if i take it to the dealer they'd have to replace my mirror cause i would lose my map lights for the switch... i would like to keep it original like that though. But would an after market place use original parts? or just randomly mount a switch to some random part in the car?

as to how an aftermarket installer would install the roof, thats up to the individual dealer, and what they and the customer agree too.

I would imagine that an aftermarket shop SHOULD be able to duplicate the factory install, if they can get the factory parts.

Using aftermarket parts, your limited to what the aftermarket sunroof came with, or what the installer can do differently if you desire.
