And if I can get the Sealer and cleaner some were like Pep Boys?? I gess that what I need to know is WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TAKE CARE OF THIS TYPE OF TOP?? I THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH for ANY help that you can give me ( ASAP ) on this. Calvin
PS: I would also THANK YOU for any info. that I can get on the care on the rest of this car and what to look out for with it ( like what will more then likely break frist and so on ). Thank you. :Bang

Your no Dummy -
Here is one option - http://www.properautocare.com/ragclean.html
My recommendation is to call E&G and ask them for their recommendations.
Welcome to LVC!!

I was very happy to find Lee Clary, tech adviser at E&G to quickly and timely respond to emails, so feel free to drop him a line and let him know you are a proud owner of E&G product. He sent me an instruction sheet via snail mail AND suggestions for localized service. E&G is one of the premier makers of classic Rolls Royce style grilles that Cadillac stopped making, yet still add finishing touch to the Cads. ASC also does sim-cons I believe and did official aftermarket convertibles, mainly.

Don't do anything to the top. Leave it alone and it will last forever. I have an 89 STS with a full factory cloth top and it's perfect. I've never put anything on it.
I think it's all sales hype to sell product. If it's vinyl or leather then the answer is obvious but if it's cloth, seriously leave it alone.

My own sim-con, pictured in a previous post I just submitted, has some seemingly worn spots, I think cloth-style sim tops need total reconditioning like 70s landau roofs need and as seen on some car-themed current TV, some were taken off in favor of a restored to hardtop form. I don't like to go there, but it makes you think. I'd like to mod mine to a full size factory retracting, mirrored, sunshade sunroof, but would require heavy mods I think. I did spot a sim con equipped this way and would like more opinions on this project idea.

i have a 1994 cadillac eldorado with the simcon top and it is in dire
need of replacement. i have been unable to get a decent price for
replaceing it. if you know anything about more than i do about this
product i would appreciate any info.
also i am contemplating removing it, filling the screw holes and whatever
