On my '99 Conti, I was able to reprogram the keyless entry to my own code. It's been working fine for weeks. The other day, I just parked the car in the garage, went inside, and realized that I left something in the vehicle. Went back out and entered my code to unlock, and nothing happens. I tried to use the factory code to do a reset, and it didn't work. It was raining, could it be a short?

could you hear it keep trying to lock itself? on my 02 conti the keypad went bad and everytime i hit the 9/0 key it would lock. 63 dollars and 15 minutes fixed the problem for me. And mine started doing the after i washed my car.

Where did you purchase your replacement?

just went to the ford dealership and they had one in stock.
