4.7 liter, dual exhaust, all stock.
Saw my friends car and got in the mood to see if there's some lower-cost modifications to increase horsepower for a bit more "fun". . .
Looking to spend less than $1,000; what kind of parts would give the most "bang for my buck"?
And, where would I get them from? Thanks!!! :D:D:D

I believe the easiest mod is the computer engine controller. I know the obd 2 systems add 30-40 ponies by changing the chip to run on premium. Also make sure you have dual exhaust, it will unleash 20 monsterous ponies. Besides that i think you can do performance heads (i dont know how easy that is because you need to change a few other parts and i dont know if they are bolt on)

There really isn't a whole lot you can get to modify your eninge... SOME mustang 4.6L parts are interchangeable, but unfortunately the early 90's Towncars weren't designed for future mods... About the only thigns you can do is what was stated in the previous posts... Although I have seen a cold-air-intake on a 92' before...
