on some bodywork for the old lincoln.

When I bought It there was scuffs and scrapes on 3 of the 4 corners of the car.

The other day someone did a hit and run in my own school parking lot! Its not bad enough to dent anything or move it out of place but it took some paint off and scratched my headlight up prety good.

As some of you may recal I kissed a mailbox over the winter and my passenger side got dinged up pretty good.

I brought it buy a pretty respectable paint shop and asked them what they could do with it.

For a full all around clean up, buff, removing all the scratches, touch ups, rust fix, and pull all the dents out of the car comes to about $950.

They said the door alone would be about $450, because its dented so bad (from the mailbox)

What do you guys think, they said by the time there done with it, it will look like it just rolled off the factory line. But I was lookin at the For sale section, And looks like you can buy a door for 200 bucks pretty easily.

Would it be cheaper to just buy a new door and have it painted?

thanks guys

p.s. i searched ;)

Around here that sounds pretty good for what you are getting done..

You are under $1000...

I know to get the little bumps out of my RT Side Rear quarter would be at least $500

Thats sounds like a GREAT price man... I would jump on it...

I bet they would give you discount if you cut your hair too!

No that's a terrible price, all these shops see a Lincoln and charge you out the ass... in fact these cars are terrible to maintain and cost a fortune. I'll be nice and let you sell it to me.

Just Remember, you get what you pay for. I don't know to what extent of work they plan to do but, that sounds very, very inexpensive (cheep). Just have a detailed conversation about what exactly they are going to do to the car, or not!
