McClaren Grille - Attachment Hardware

Friends,

I purchased a McClaren Grille to put on my 06 LS. All I got was the grille which at the time was no big deal, as I assumed the studs and clips on my OEM grille could be utilized. This is not the case. While the clips are interchangable, the studs on my 06 Grille are permanently mounted and thus I lack the hardware to install the McClaren. I could rig it but I'd prefer to have the correct hardware. Is this available for a specific year LS?

Thanks,

John

Actually, that is my How to but you can view the .pdf version here:

The screws should come out of the grille. I have never seen a factory grille with the screws permanently mounted to the grille.

I tightend a drill around the studs on my old grille and backed em out slowly, then all I simply did was drill em back into the new grille.

Sorry about that Ken, I see that now.

Thanks for the well documented Tech article.

I have used this article myself.

My bad, gentlemen. After reviewing Ken's "How To" I realized that my grille probably wasn't any different then previous OEM grilles.....that is in reference to the studs and clips. The slots in the McClaren grille lead me to believe that different hardware was needed, though.

Thanks for your input and thank you Ken for the "How To"

John
