You don't have to modify the 2000 harness. Unless its the harness just for the headlights the ones with the bulbs attached to it. I just completed this 2 weeks ago, and love it. Did you go with the oem HIDS?

i had to modify the harness because i extended my wires alittle easier that way post pics if you have them or any one that has done the conversion post pics i love the 03+ headlights. can't get my led light to come on anyone know way. have it spliced to my amber light on the headlight.
